How we practice at Archetype Yoga
Our classes combine movement, technique, breath, props and theory to help you develop a more intelligent relationship with your body. We teach the why alongside the what, creating a practice that is both physical and curious.
The Archetype Yoga Approach
Hands-on teaching
Sometimes the body understands beyond words.
Our instructors use hands-on adjustments to help students experience alignment, support and movement in a more tangible way. Adjustments are offered thoughtfully and with respect.
We talk. A lot.
Because understanding changes the practice.
Our teachers explain the why and how behind what we're doing, creating a workshop-style environment where curiosity is part of the practice.
You don't have to simply follow along. We want you to learn something.
Props are part of the practice.
Blocks, blankets, straps, walls and other props aren't accessories — they're tools for understanding the body.
We use them to create support, explore alignment and make familiar shapes feel different.
New to yoga?
You don't need to know anything before you walk through the door.
For your first few classes, we recommend starting with:
RESTORATIVE
Slow, supportive and prop-rich.
SLOW FLOW
A gentle introduction to movement and breath.
SOUND BATH
A quieter way to experience the studio.
