The Summer Solstice is upon us!

☀️The Summer Solstice is a moment to pause and honor the light, both within and without.

As the longest day of the year arrives, we feel a natural shift in energy. More movement, social connection, and expansion, and sometimes, a little overwhelm too. 

🌿This seasonal transition is an invitation to notice what is flourishing in our lives, and what needs care. What do we want to carry forward into the second half of the year, and what we can leave behind. In Katonah Yoga, the solstice is seen as a time of renewal, realignment, and ritual. 

🌀A few ways to support yourself through the shift into summer:

✨ Keep your practice simple and steady. A few minutes set aside to follow your breath, or a short morning flow can help create steadiness during busy seasons.

✨ Outside time is where it’s at. Sunlight and fresh air guide the body’s circadian rhythm.

✨ At home rituals. Ground your nervous system with evening tea , journaling, dry brushing, meditation, and screen-free time before bed.

✨ Stay nourished and hydrated. Summer is both energizing and depleting, so we need to slow down and replenish.
